Resonance Frequencies of Sensors

MEAS Switzerland pressure sensors are specificaly made to withstand extreme pressure and acceleration conditions.
The membranes natural resonance frequency of our products have been measured to be over 100 kHz for a 1 G static acceleration, which is considered to yield a very fast response under those standard condition.
For static accelerations up to 1000 G the membrane is only slightly deflected and the equivalent pressure due to the membrane own weight as well as the protective gel only accounts for 50 mbar equivalent pressure on a 1 Bar sensor.
Such a sensor has been tested to resist 5000 mbar overpressure, so you can safely trust the sensor membrane not to brake or crack. It should be noted that under 1000 G condition, the membrane resonance frequency is reduced due to the static pressure to a few kHz, which is still suitable for most application
